Sprinkle the work surface with a little powdered sugar and roll out the fondant with a rolling pin to achieve a uniform shape (2-3 mm thick). Rotate the sugar paste a quarter turn to prevent sticking. Are small cracks still appearing on the edges when rolling out the fondant? Knead again firmly until the edges are smooth when rolling out. Then the sugar paste is ready to be used.
