Knead the sugar paste again before continuing to work. To cover a round cake 20 cm in diameter, you will need approximately 500 g of fondant.

Rotate the sugar paste a quarter turn to prevent sticking. Are small cracks still appearing on the edges when rolling out the fondant? Knead again firmly until the edges are smooth when rolled out. Then the sugar paste is ready to be used.
